Lodge Pond November 6th/7th

well it was a strange session, arriving at 5pm, whilst it was getting dark, Max, who had been fishing the swim all day with nothing, and whilst i was loading the barrow i recieved a phone call from an excited max, who had just landed his new PB, an 18lb ghost carp. so after taking some photos, his dad arrived to collect him, and help me set up my bivvy!

after about 5 hours of fishing in pain, with a pulled muscle in my shoulder, the weather got worse and it got cold, i decided to reel in and leave my bivvy set up, only to return in the morning, i arrived at 1240 only to find the head bailiff snooping around, she was actually quite nice, and gave me a warning not to leave my swim unattended again, so i got in trouble.....well the excitement didnt end there....i suddenly remembered that i had just left the gate unlocked, on purpose, for my mate who was on his way. I realised that i would be in serious trouble if the head bailiff had found out it was me who left the gate unlocked! Some how i managed to make my excuses and make a quick exit from my bankside repremand! I grabbed the wheelbarrow and headed for the 10 minute walk back to the car, for the 5 minute drive through the forest to the gate. I made it, when i got to the entrance gate, it was wide open i was soooooo lucky not to have lost my permit!

All that effort , sometimes i dont know why i bother.

well after all the effort i had gone through , my mate turned up and we fished till 5pm. only 1 bream ,
disappointing.....
but i guess thats fishing.
why do i always try and bend the rules! and i always get found out!?
